Seven years into the fight against the highway style gas station in our neighborhood the NoRoFa movement is as strong as ever. We hope the BMZA listens to the written testimony of neighbors, business owners, and community leaders who continue to explain why this large gas station is not suitable for this location.
We also understand that the leadership of the BMZA does not believe they are obligated to hear from those most affected as this “re-deliberation” is occurring in the middle of the day, with no oral testimony, and a scope as narrow as the law allows.
Tomorrow night, 1/29/2020 at 4:30 PM we will meet up at the Hamilton Tavern(5517 Harford Road, Baltimore MD) for another community meeting about this project. We hope it is a celebration of a long fought victory, but if the BMZA continues to side with the corporate gas station against the people of the community, then we will be planning our next steps in the legal fight.
